Nowadays, kids are obsessed with making slime. Oh, are you missing all your tupperware? Good luck getting that back. It's probably in your kid's room filled with slime. In my case, it's my nieces. Every time we go into Walmart, they ask for the following: glue, shaving cream, contact solution, and paint. Especially one of my nieces, Mariah. I do have to admit, that girl can make some cool slime. Me trying to be the "cool aunt," always lets the girls get slime supplies under two conditions... they can't tell their mother and they have to clean up their mess.

Here are 9 Slime Tips From a 10-Year-Old

  1. Pour in your activator little by little. If you don’t, your slime will be over-activated and hard.
  2. Add lotion or gel if your slime is over-activated. It will make your slime softer and stretchier.
  3. Don’t add too much paint or your slime won’t activate.
  4. Don’t add too much glitter or your slime will get hard. The glitter will take over the glue and the other ingredients.
  5. If your slime is hard, put it in the microwave to soften it up. Caution: only do with adult supervision and heat it up little by little. Beware: it will be hot when it comes out. Let it cool down.
  6. Best activators to use: shaving cream and contact solution together, tide laundry detergent original, and gain laundry detergent original.
  7. If you use borax, only use a tiny bit! Your slime will rip apart if you use too much.
  8. Don’t add too much lotion. Your slime will turn jiggley.
  9. Don’t add too many different colors of paint or your slime will turn a yucky color.
